Flock Evolves the Browser to Web 2.0

I saw this article on ExtremeTech today. Pretty cool new browser (built on top of Firefox) that converges social bookmarking (includes settings to automatically post bookmarks to your local folder as well as sites like del.icio.us), photo/video sharing (also includes settings to automatically post bookmarks to your local folder as well as sites like del.icio.us), RSS reader, etc. Here's a excerpt:

Flock Evolves the Browser to Web 2.0

Review: Why limit yourself to IE, Firefox, and Opera? Flock puts a Web 2.0 twist on browsing, incorporating mashups with blogging, social bookmarking, and photo sharing sites.

People with Linksys Routers... Pay attention!

I stumbled on this post from the peeps at LifeHacker. Pretty interesting note on how to convert your $60 Linksys WRT style router into a highly configurable, beast-of-a $600 router. Geek stuff for sure, but pretty interesting nonetheless...

Nowitzki is a STUD!!!

Boy did Tim "Dipstick" Thomas make a mistake when he blew that kiss at Dirk. Why? Because Dirk smoked that chump for 22 points in the 4th quarter!! Ha! We'll see if he is crazy enough to call the Germinator another synonym for cat in the next game.

My buddy, Mark, has said it and shown it to us in this post...

The Browster Extension

I've been playing with a new Extension the past few days. My buddy, Ward, turned me on to it. It is called Browster (http://www.browster.com) and works for both Firefox and IE. It allows you to preview any link on a page by hovering over it. After a split second delay, a lightning bolt icon will appear above the link. If you most your mouse over the top of the icon, a new browser (the Browster browser) pops up. What you get is a fully functional web page inside the pop-up browser. Allowing you to not only preview the web page (e.g. Reveal), but interact with a fully functional web page. I have tested it with Flash sites and the perform just as they usually would. Browster is especially effective when using major search engines to search the web (e.g. Google, Yahoo, etc). It's fairly cool, but the mouse over the lightning bolt seems to be a little annoying at times. It pops up the Browster window when I don't necessarily want it to.

Still all-in-all, it's not too bad.
